  • The table above shows that the EXEDY diaphragm spring maintains its clamp load properties much longer than that of other brands.
  • Wear amount is determined by the amount of permissible friction material wear up to the point in which the cover assembly clamp load decrease by 10% from new specification
  • Pressure plate travel represents the distance in which the distance in which the pressure plate moves (lifts when the release bearing depresses the diaphragm by 6mm.

PULL STPE CLUTCH CUSHIONING FUNCTION (PAT.)

  • The "CUSHION" function is a new innovation unique to EXEDY.
  • The half engaged "ZONE" is expanded as a result of a decrease in rigidity of the pivot ring.
  • Ideal pedal effort is achieved as a result of a longer lever ratio of the diaphragm spring coupled with the cushion reaction force.
 

CENTER PLATE SELF-LEAVELLING FUNCTION (PAT.)

The amount of center plate travel during release is always maintained in a neutral position by the reaction force of the lifting plate attached to both sides of the center plate.

  • Improved disengagement (accelerated separation from friction surface).
  • Improved disc life by eliminating unbalanced wear at the T/M and F/W side.
